Details

The Flat Top Flipper is a stainless steel cooking tool sized for griddle work, plancha cooking, and stovetop use. The blade is wide and flat with beveled leading edges that slide under pancakes, eggs, and smash burgers without tearing them.

Off-the-shelf flippers from a kitchen store get bent, lose their edge, or end up with a wood handle that splits after a season of high-heat cooking. The angled hardwood handle on this one keeps the user's hand back from the cooking surface, and the laser-engraved name, date, or logo on the handle stays sharp through years of use without fading. A generic spatula is forgettable; an engraved one becomes the go-to tool in the rotation.

The blade is full stainless steel with beveled edges. The handle is genuine hardwood with a 2 3/8" by 3/4" laser-engraving area. Engraving is permanent and does not peel, fade, or wear. The flipper weighs 0.47 lb, balanced for one-handed work. Each one ships fast - rush options are available for in-hands deadlines.

Features

  • Stainless steel flipper head with beveled edges - clean lifts without tearing food
  • Genuine hardwood handle, angled for clearance from heat - safer one-handed work near a 600°F surface
  • 2 3/8" W x 3/4" H laser-engraving area on the handle - room for a name, monogram, date, or logo
  • Permanent laser engraving - the mark stays as sharp on day 1000 as it does on day 1
  • 0.47 lb total weight - balanced for fast flipping without fatigue
  • Sized for griddles, flat-top grills, plancha cooking, and stovetop use

Customization Options

  • Laser engrave the handle into the wood, slight depth
  • Laser etch the blade in tone-on-tone white mark, permanent smooth mark, elegant
  • Laser cut the blade for additional $6 per spatula - cut out your logo or design from the steel to make the print on burgers and make an impression

Perfect For:

  • Father's Day gifts for the dad who runs the breakfast griddle
  • Housewarming gifts a new homeowner uses every weekend
  • Groomsmen and wedding party gifts that show up at every cookout
  • Corporate culinary gifts for chefs, food teams, and client appreciation
  • Personalized retirement gifts for someone who finally has time to grill
  • Annual outdoor club, BBQ team, or smoker-association awards

This flipper holds up under hard daily use, and the engraving turns a kitchen tool into something the recipient keeps and reuses for years. That's the difference between a gift that gets used and one that ends up in a drawer.

Order yours and add the engraving in the customizer above - we'll handle the rest.

FAQs

Will the laser engraving on the wood handle wear off with regular washing?
No. The engraving is laser-burned into the wood surface, so it does not peel, flake, or wash away. The mark may darken slightly over the first few washes as the wood ages, but the legibility holds up for years of normal hand-washing. Avoid the dishwasher and avoid soaking the handle in water - the engraving is fine but extended water exposure is hard on the wood itself.

The stainless spatula blade is also permanent - continual rough scouring could wear off the white laser etch. The laser cut will also hold up to washing.
Is the stainless steel head safe for non-stick or coated griddle surfaces?
The beveled stainless edges slide under food without gouging, so light use on non-stick or seasoned surfaces is fine. For aggressive scraping - like breaking up stuck-on smash burger crusts or working through a carbonized griddle - use it on uncoated cast iron, carbon steel, or commercial-grade flat tops. On softer non-stick coatings, switch to a wood or silicone tool for hard scraping work.
How do I clean the flipper without damaging the engraving or the wood?
Hand-wash the flipper with warm water and mild dish soap. Wipe the engraved handle area with a soft cloth or gentler scrubber - no abrasive scrubbers or steel wool, since they can scratch the wood finish over time. Dry both the head and the handle thoroughly after washing; do not let the handle sit wet. Avoid the dishwasher entirely. This routine keeps the engraving sharp and the hardwood from cracking or warping.
Can the stainless steel balde be engraved as well as the wood handle?
Yes - the stainless flipper blade accepts laser etching or laser cutting, though the visual contrast is different.

Engraving on stainless creates a frosted, smooth white mark rather than the dark burn you get on wood.

If both the head and the handle are engraved, choose the layout when ordering: usually a name or monogram on the handle and a logo or short message on the head. There is an upcharge for engraving both surfaces.

We can also cut out the spatula blade.

Father's Day & Grillmaster Birthdays

Dads who say they "like anything" are the hardest to shop for, which is why a personalized cooking tool lands so well. The handle gets engraved with his name, a short message, or a family-name "Dad's Griddle Tool" tag, and the stainless head means the gift survives whatever he does to it. He uses it for the Saturday morning egg-and-pancake routine, then it travels to the backyard for smash burgers when the weather turns. Bulk pricing is available when a family is going in together; rush options cover the "I forgot Father's Day is Sunday" situation. Each one ships in standard packaging, ready to wrap or hand over directly.

Housewarming for the New Cook

A new home brings a new kitchen, and the kitchen gets a new tool. Engrave the handle with the family's last name, the move-in year, or a short well-wishing line. A flat-top flipper is sized right for the smaller starter grills and electric griddles that show up in first homes, and the heavy-duty stainless head means the new homeowner is not replacing it in a year. The hardwood handle adds warmth to a kitchen that is otherwise full of metal and plastic, and the engraved area stays clean and legible through normal washing. Pair it with a cookbook or a small olive-oil set if a fuller gift is needed.

Wedding & Groomsmen Gifts

Personalized cooking tools work as wedding-party gifts because they balance sentiment with function. Each groomsman gets a handle engraved with his name and the wedding date - or a short "Best Day Ever" message that survives a beach bachelor weekend and a few hangover breakfasts after. The flipper itself is full stainless and built for hard daily use, so it actually gets reached for once the wedding is over. For couples, an engraved family-name flipper becomes part of married-life kitchen tools at the first cookout in the new home and every Sunday brunch after that. Volume pricing applies for parties of six or more.

Corporate Culinary & Team Gifts

For businesses, an engraved flat-top flipper hits a budget that is higher than a branded mug but lower than a flagship gift, with a more personal feel than either. Companies use these as client appreciation pieces for restaurant clients, food-and-beverage industry partners, and corporate culinary teams. The handle can carry a logo on one side and a recipient's name on the other; the stainless head keeps the gift functional rather than ornamental. Custom rush handling is available for award ceremonies and conferences with fixed in-hands dates.

Retirement & Milestone Gifts

For someone retiring from a long career - especially in food service, hospitality, or a job with no time to cook on weekends - an engraved flat-top flipper is a pointed gift. The engraving carries a name, a years-of-service line, or a short message from the team. The heavy-duty build means it actually gets used during the retirement years, not displayed and forgotten. For milestone birthdays where the recipient already has a full kitchen, a custom handle on a tool they did not have before adds a piece without crowding the drawer. Pair with a card noting the engraving, since the personalization is easy to miss until the recipient turns the handle over.

5 Reasons Buyers Pick This Over a Generic Flipper

  1. The engraving holds up.
Laser engraving on hardwood is permanent. Hand-washing with mild soap keeps the mark legible for years, and there is no print or sticker to peel. Laser cutting the spatula blade is even more permanent and stands out.
  2. The blade is sized for real flat-top work.
The wide head with beveled edges slides under smash burgers and fried eggs cleanly. A generic kitchen flipper is too narrow and tends to tear food on a hot griddle.
  3. It survives heat that warps cheap tools.
Full stainless construction handles a 600°F flat-top without warping or losing edge geometry. Coated or thin-gauge flippers from a discount store distort within a season.
  4. The hardwood handle stays comfortable.
Wood does not transfer heat the way bare metal does, and the angle keeps the gripping hand back from the cooking surface. Plastic handles get tacky; hollow metal handles get hot.
  5. The personalization makes it actually get kept.
An engraved name turns a tool into a personal object. A generic flipper from a kitchen store is interchangeable - this one is not, and it gets reached for first.
