SIZE INFORMATION

We’ll take care of sizing and proportioning for you. Just upload or type in your design or tell us what text you want as a metal stencil, and we’ll ensure it fits well within the dimensions you select.

• Choose your metal stencil size above for your DESIGN
• We’ll add an 2" overspray border around your design for easier alignment and cleaner paint edges
• Don’t worry about getting dimensions perfect—we’ll work with you to size your design properly and let you approve everything before production
• If either Height or Width is most important to you, mention the dimension you'd like to keep and we will size the other dimension proportionally
• We use thick 16 or 18 gauge steel for long lasting results, which usually equates to 1/16" thick
• Minimum and recommended bridge/gap width: 5/64" / 0.07” / 1.77mm
• Maximum sheet size 96x48" (8' x 4'). Oversize stencils can't ship air, and may ship via LTL truck depending on size and destination

METAL WARPING

Metal naturally responds to stress during the cutting process, which can occasionally result in slight bending or warping, especially if a large amount of material is taken out (for painting). While most stencils stay flat and functional, it’s possible for larger pieces to develop a curve even without cutting.

In most cases, a minor bend won't affect usability. It can usually be bent back to flat by hand, or if slight warp persists causing underbleed, a little pressure pushing on stencil while painting usually eliminates any issues.
